“Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend … when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present—love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness—the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth.” -Sarah Ban Breathnach
Maybe you should read that quote again, and let it sink in. I love that quote! Why do we, as humans, tend to focus on things that are missing from our lives? Is it human nature? I wish I was better at recognizing my wonderful blessings! I WILL do better!
This month I am planning on posting everyday for a month about the things I appreciate, and am grateful for. I'm sure that this will mean much more to ME then to anyone that reads it. (If anyone even reads this stinkin' blog).
Since it is November 2nd (and I am one day behind) I will post two things today. These things are in no particular order.
Day 1 - I am MORE than blessed to have such wonderful parents who have been my greatest example. There are absolutely no words to describe how amazing they are. They are good to the core!!
Day 2 - I love my little sweet family! I have an amazing husband and 4 great kids! They mean everything to me!
